SHAUN SANGHANI

Owner

Shaun grew up a small town boy in Alexandria, Louisiana before moving to one of his favorite cities in the world in 1998, New Orleans, to attend Tulane University. He finished his undergraduate degree in Psychology in 3 years then received his MBA in Finance/Marketing from Tulane Business School in 2003. During his time in b-school, Shaun co-founded Gulf Stream Energy, a cleantech technology company based on a patented ocean energy device aimed at harnessing clean electricity from underwater currents. Rather than pursue the project full-time, Shaun instead chose to exercise the other half of his brain and applied and was accepted into the prestigious USC School of Cinematic Arts to pursue a Masters in Screenwriting in the fall of 2003. During his time in film school, Shaun worked on the Universal lot at Gary Ross Productions (Seabiscuit, Pleansantville) and assisted close friend John Singleton on the set of the Sundance breakout hit Hustle and Flow. Upon graduation, Pulitzer Prize™ winning Writer and Filmmaker David Mamet offered to mentor Shaun into the industry and Shaun spent several months alongside him and Emmy™ award winner Shawn Ryan (creator of The Shield) on the hit CBS show The Unit.

Confident he had what it took to create and nurture his own ideas and content, Shaun formed SSS Entertainment in 2007. And so began the journey…
